In anticipation of the upcoming Philadelphia Phillies season, the organization granted the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to their medical team. Dr. Michael Ciccotti, Chief of Sports Medicine at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and Head Team Physician for the Phillies, served as tour guide into a world most fans will never see. Over the course of the next couple of weeks the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute will post stories that show what “a day in the life” is like for the doctors and staff who keep the Phils fighting.

One note: the same privacy laws that protect our patients health information protect those of the players. So, no players will be mentioned by name or in photos except the ones who agreed to talk with us.
