Physician Assistants
Lisa Campenella, PA-C – Lisa is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. She also received a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Lisa worked as a certified athletic trainer at the University of Pennsylvania before joining the Rothman Institute as an orthopedic research assistant. Lisa now works as a physician assistant with Dr. James Purtill specializing in joint replacement surgery. Lisa sees patients in the Center City Philadelphia and Voorhees, NJ offices.
Steven DiRocco, PA-C, PTA – Steven worked at NovaCare as a therapist before he put himself through physician assistant school at Hahnemann University. After graduating Steven began work assisting 10 physicians at Premier Orthopaedics. He also assisted in surgery and independently ran an orthopaedic urgent care center in Media, PA. Steven treats a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal issues including sports related injuries, degenerative joint disease and much more. He is a Board Certified Physical Therapist Assistant and is also certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Steven sees patients at the Riddle Hospital office in Media, PA.
Diego Fiorentino, PA-C - Diego is a Certified Physician Assistant who graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Diego worked as a sports medicine physician assistant in Southern New Jersey prior to joining the Rothman Institute. Diego works closely with Dr. Matthew Pepe specializing in surgical sports medicine and sees patients in the Egg Harbor Township and Voorhees, NJ offices.
Jason Gajdzis, PA-C – Jason is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the UMDNJ Physician Assistant Program at Seton Hall University. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from Seton Hall University in Biology. Jason worked at various orthopedic practices in Atlantic County before joining the Rothman Institute. He works with Dr. Fabio Orozco specializing in joint care. He also works closely with orthopedic spine surgeon Dr. Alan Hilibrand. Jason sees patients in the Egg Harbor Township and Voorhees, NJ offices.
Thomas Geary, PA-C – Thomas is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Exercise Science as well as a Master of Arts in Education from Rowan University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Thomas worked as a certified athletic trainer in Gloucester and Camden counties. Thomas works work with Dr. Bradford Tucker specializing in surgical sports medicine. Thomas sees patients in the Egg Harbor Township and Manahawkin, NJ offices.
Natalie Hirsch, PA-C – Natalie is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Physician Assistant program at DeSales University. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Natalie worked as a pharmaceutical technician where she studied immune responses and bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Natalie works with Dr. Alexander Vaccaro specializing in orthopedic surgery of the spine. Natalie sees patients in the Center City Philadelphia office.
David Katz, PA-C - David is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Arcadia University Physician Assistant Program. He also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from University of Delaware. Prior to joining the Rothman Institute, David worked in Haddonfield, NJ for two years with a general orthopedic surgery practice. David works with Dr. Ravi Ponnappan specializing in orthopedic surgery of the spine. He also works closely with orthopedic spine surgeon Dr. Alan Hilibrand. David sees patients in the Egg Harbor Township and Voorhees, NJ offices.
Seth Mahan, PA-C - Seth graduated from the Philadelphia University Physician Assistant program. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Athletic Training and Health/Physical Education from West Chester University. Prior to joining the Rothman Institute Seth worked for a general orthopaedic practice in Wilmington, DE. Seth sees patients at the Bucks County Specialty Hospital in Bensalem, PA.
Natisha Ross, PA-C – Natisha is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Natisha worked at the Rothman Institute in various clinical and clerical capacities. Natisha works with Dr. Todd Albert specializing in orthopedic surgery of the spine and sees patients in the Center City Philadelphia office.
Robert Raspa, PA-C – Robert is a Certified Physician Assistant and graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Temple University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Robert worked as an occupational therapist at various outpatient rehabilitation facilities in Atlantic County. Robert also worked as a physician assistant in Southern New Jersey before joining the Rothman Institute. Robert is the Director of the Physician Assistant Service at the Rothman Institute in New Jersey and works with Dr. Alvin Ong specializing in joint replacement surgery. Robert sees patients in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ office.
Kevin Shelby, PA-C – Kevin is a Certified Physician Assistant who graduated from the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from Florida State University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Kevin worked as a certified athletic trainer at the collegiate level. Kevin joined the Rothman Institute and works with Dr. David Greg Anderson who specializes in orthopaedic spine surgery. Kevin sees patients in the Northeast Philadelphia, Media, and King of Prussia, PA locations. He also works closely with Dr. Jeremy Simon who is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at the Northeast Philadelphia office.
Colleen Thornton, CRNP, ONP-C - Colleen is a nurse practitioner who graduated from the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at Johns Hopkins University. She also received a biology degree from Loyola University Maryland. Prior to joining the Rothman Institute, Colleen worked for years in the Division of Spine Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is also a recipient of a Certified Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner certification. Colleen works with Dr. Jeffrey Rihn who specializes in orthopaedic spine surgery. She see patients at Rothman Institute's King of Prussia, Media, and Center City Philadelphia offices.
