Will my health insurance cover the Rothman Institute's Wellness Program?

Many insurance companies include nutrition counseling in their benefit package.  You will want to contact your health insurance provider to find out if your plan covers nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian.  If nutrition counseling is covered, ask your provider how many visits you’re allowed and if you need a referral.  If you are interested in participating in the 6-month weight management program, you can also ask if they cover group nutrition counseling.  We will bill your insurance provider, and you will be responsible for the balance of the payment. 

For individuals with plans that do not provide coverage, there are possible tax savings available that can assist in paying for the program.  For more information, click here.
