Matthew S. Austin, M.D.

Matthew S. Austin, M.D.

Dr. Austin is a board certified hip and knee specialist.  He is an author of numerous articles in orthopaedic journals and has presented extensively on orthopaedic topics nationally. 

He completed both his fellowship and residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  He earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his undergraduate education at Albright College in Reading, PA.

Dr. Austin is a member of several societies including the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.  He has been published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the Journal of Arthroplasty, and Seminars in Arthroplasty among others.  He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Arthroplasty.  He has conducted numerous presentations concerning hip and knee procedures, including, “Minimally-Invasive Hip Surgery,” “Computer-Aided Total Knee Replacement,” and “Hip and Knee Arthritis.”

Dr. Austin sees patients at Rothman Institute’s Center City and Media, PA offices.
