Dr. Ravi Ponnappan is an assistant professor of spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.  He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center and his fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  Dr. Ponnappan attended Brown University and received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Ponnappan is a member of several Professional Societies, one of which includes the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a published physician, focusing his works on spinal cord injuries, techniques in spinal instrumentation, and intervertebral disk degeneration.

Dr. Ponnappan sees patients at the Rothman Institute’s Egg Harbor Township and Manahawkin, NJ locations.
