Dr. Steven B. Cohen brings broad experience as a fellowship-trained sports medicine expert to the Rothman Institute. 

A graduate of Columbia University in New York, and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he completed his orthopaedic residency and received an Orthopaedic Research Fellowship from the University of Virginia Health Center in Charlottesville.

He completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has also served as the Associate Team Physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins, the Assistant Team Physician for the University of Pittsburgh Women’s Basketball Team, and for the Pittsburgh Ballet.  He is currently a team physician for the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Joseph's University.  Dr. Cohen has an extensive research background and serves as the Director of Sports Medicine Research at the Rothman Institute.
