Matthew L. Ramsey, M.D.

Dr. Matthew Ramsey is a shoulder and elbow specialist.  Dr. Ramsey completed his undergraduate work at State University of New York at Binghamton and earned his M.D. from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.  Dr. Ramsey obtained a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.  He completed a fellowship in shoulder surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and was a visiting clinician in elbow surgery at Mayo Clinic.

He is an active member of many professional and scientific societies including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society.  Dr. Ramsey has held numerous editorial positions for medical journals including Consultant Reviewer for The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.  An extensive number of publications and invitational lectures before the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the International Congress on Surgery of the Shoulder solidify Dr. Ramsey as a key physician among his medical peers.

Dr. Ramsey was previously at the University of Pennsylvania where he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of the Shoulder and Elbow Service.  Furthermore, he was Clinical Supervisor for Orthopaedic Surgery Residents and Director of the Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship.

Dr. Ramsey sees patients at the Rothman Institute’s offices in Center City Philadelphia, King of Prussia, and Voorhees, NJ.
