Sports medicine physician Sunny Gupta, DO, recently joined the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute at the Bensalem and Northeast Philadelphia offices.

Dr. Gupta also serves as an assistant to team physicians for various professional sports teams and a number of area high schools. Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his physical therapy degree from the University of Connecticut. He performed a family medicine residency at Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine and a sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Gupta belongs to many professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
