Dr. Franks is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Franks is a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at UMDNJ-SOM.

He specializes in medical orthopaedics, sports medicine, and concussion management.

Dr. Franks is one of the regions leaders in sports medicine related concussion management and was an author on the Team Physician’s Consensus Statement on Concussion.
 
He is an active member of several sports medicine societies, including serving on the Executive Committee of AOASM . Dr. Franks currently serves as team physician for USA wrestling and a number of area high schools and consults for the Philadelphia Phillies.  Dr Franks sees patients in the Marlton, NJ and Sewell, NJ offices

Phillies, Rothman Institute collaborate for 5th Annual Sports Medicine Conference

The 5th annual Rothman Institute/Philadelphia Phillies Sports Medicine Conference took place Saturday morning at Citizens Bank Park. A sold-out group of physical therapists and certified athletic trainers braved the cold and snow to hear from some of the region’s leaders in treatment of injured athletes. Read more »
