Non-operative Elbow Spur Treatment

Elbow spurs in their early stages may be treated with rest, anti-inflammatory medication, and a physical therapy program focused on stretching and muscle strengthening. If spurs progress, then non-operative measures often do not allow the patient to return to pre-injury level of activity. Elbow loose bodies often cause persistent intermittent symptoms, that do not respond to non-operative treatment. Persistent symptoms from elbow spurs or loose bodies are often treated with elbow arthroscopy.
