John P. Salvo, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Salvo is double board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and specializes in knee ligament (ACL) reconstructions, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repairs, and hip arthroscopy.
As Director of the Hip Arthroscopy program at Rothman Institute, Dr. Salvo serves as one of the region’s leaders in hip arthroscopy, particularly in athletes. He is an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers as well as the Philadelphia Eagles, and a consultant for the Philadelphia Phillies. He is an active member of several subspecialty societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy.

John W. Fleischman, PA-C, MPT, ATC

John graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine's Physician Assistant Program. He received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master's in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Scranton and completed his Athletic Training certification at Rowan University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he worked as a physical therapist at Orthopaedic/Sports Medicine Physical Therapy facilities and volunteered as an athletic trainer at several South Jersey High Schools and tournaments. John currently works with Dr. John Salvo, Jr. specializing in surgical and non-surgical sports medicine injuries.
