Expertscape, has sponsored a ranking methodology to allow patients to locate qualified physicians based on a physician’s expertise as demonstrated through their contributions to the peer reviewed literature.

It also considers whether the physician in question was first, second, or a contributing author and what institution they are affiliated with. The rankings are 100% objective with no elements of popularity or institutional interference involved.
