Anita's Rothman Story - Knee Replacement

When knee pain led Anita to her local orthopaedist, he recommended she have a total knee replacement. But the procedure meant to alleviate her pain, instead only added to it. She couldn’t walk. She couldn’t garden. She was at a loss. She knew something wasn’t right and she needed a second opinion, so Anita went to Rothman at Jefferson Hospital.

When she met with her Rothman doctor, who specializes in revisions of total knee replacements, she knew her year of dealing with crippling pain was finally over. The night of her surgery she was able to stand and walk again.

Now Anita is able to kneel in her garden again. She can play with her grandchildren again. She no longer feels like her life is over. She’s back going for walks and even long bike rides. Thanks to the care she received at Rothman at Jefferson Hospital, she feels like herself again.
